Darra Singh, the outgoing head of Jobcentre Plus, is to chair a ‘communities and victims panel’ to examine last month’s riots. He has told CSW that the panel is likely to hear plenty of criticism of Whitehall. “It may well be the case that there will be opinions and views from different localities that will prove to be robust and challenging towards the work of a range of departments,” he said. “It’s important to see what comes up in that regard and look to see how we can work with it.”
