The Office of National Statistics has published the results of a nationwide debate on what should feature in official wellbeing measurements.
According to the report, the public would like wellbeing statistics to focus on individual’s health; connections with friends and family; connections with spouses or partners; job satisfaction and economic security; and the present and future condition of the environment.
The report explains how the ONS will use these findings to help develop a set of national wellbeing indicators, due to be published in the autumn for further consultation.
