• A 1500 reduction in Land Registry staff (in FTE terms) to 4500 by 2011
• Closure of three offices: Portsmouth by February 2011; Stevenage, and Tunbridge Wells by June 2011
• Sale of the Head Office building in Lincolns Inn Fields - relocation of Head Office to existing Croydon Premises by March 2011
• Staff in the two Plymouth offices to be co-located onto one site in 2011
• Five areas to be subject to outsourcing procurement exercise. (Facilities management, Desktop management, Regional file stores, Central print and Reprographics) commencing in 2010
In order to support staff through this extensive change programme a comprehensive package of support was arranged for those at risk of redundancy. A team was established to support managers and to deal with staff issues and questions as they considered their options and to help them implement their individual decisions.
