Singularity Process Platform v4.5

Singularity Announces "Singularity Process Platform v4.5"
Delivering the Benefits of Dynamic BPM

Derry, 4 August 2010

Singularity, leading Business Process Agility specialist, today released enhanced capabilities to support Dynamic BPM through the launch of Singularity Process Platform (SPP) v4.5.

Dynamic BPM is becoming an imperative for companies seeking process efficiencies in an increasingly unpredictable business environment.  The additional pressure to reduce the latency to implement change in business processes, is driving a need for a more flexible and agile approach. The rationale behind Dynamic BPM is to focus on methods that enable process changes to occur when and as required, providing organizations with the capability to respond to unanticipated change requirements much more effectively.

“Change must be accomplished by more than just technical people. Changes will be made to processes as well as the artefacts that support them, such as rules. Because these artefacts have become more accessible to businesspeople, change is happening everywhere,” said Daryl Plummer, managing vice president and Gartner fellow (http://www.gartner.com/it/page.jsp?id=1278415).

“The Singularity Process Platform is already renowned for its ability to implement agile process and complex case management systems.  With this release we focused on identifying and enhancing the key features which would significantly empower our customers to change, adapt and manage their processes, outside of the development environment. In combination with the other refinements we delivered in this release and our goal of delivering a “zero code” development environment, SPP delivers all the capability needed to implement Dynamic BPM effectively across an organization,” said Dermot McCauley, VP of Corporate Development at Singularity.

“Our Platform is the best choice for companies seeking to enable greater agility in their business. By improving the Dynamic BPM capability and enhancing overall usability, the Singularity Process Platform offers our customers the ability to take full advantage of the greater efficiencies and flexibility afforded through Dynamic BPM,” said Olivia Bushe, Marketing Manager at Singularity.

Highlights of the release include:

·              Dynamic BPM: Provides the ability to immediately respond and adapt business processes to changing conditions. With v4.5, users can now dynamically customise a live process, modify the properties of a live job and also upgrade live jobs to use the latest released version of a business process. Now users do not only have the capability to seamlessly manage change, but be one step ahead of it, enabling them to respond and adjust to changing events and situations, without expending the time and added complexity of reengineering new process maps each time.

·              Work Allocation Rules: Delivering the flexibility to manage tasks in line with agile work techniques and evolving deadlines. Enabling managers to assign tasks based on up to ten different work allocation priorities, e.g. quickly identifying all overdue tasks to be completed first.

·              Business Activity Monitoring: v4.5 makes it much simpler to manage business events and targets, configure and monitor events for different activities and display whether targets are being met. This makes management of a business process much simpler, providing the manager with just the information they need and enabling them to respond rapidly to ensure that targets are met and service level agreements sustained.

·              Further Enhancements:

§    A new look and feel Singularity Workspace making it simpler to rapidly develop, test and deploy solutions, without needing to develop customized forms.

§    Extended reporting capabilities, including out-of-the-box reports that significantly simplify the task of generating common reports, and new levels of control to enhance the reports so they deliver the information the user needs, in the way they prefer to receive it.

§    Extending the Entity Management functionality delivered in the last software update, to make it easier to manage and link entities together.

All the improvements combine to ensure that Singularity offers the most robust BPM tools available on the current market for Dynamic BPM and Case Management solutions.
