Earlier this month, Civil Service World and the Cabinet Office brought together over 100 public service managers to consider how the public sector could transform public services through greater collaboration. With the need to deliver more for less an ever increasing priority, most public service managers recognise that the answer lies in closer and smarter collaboration between different public service providers. But what works – and what doesn’t? And how can we ensure success in our collaborative efforts?
A stellar line up of speakers – that included Cabinet Secretary Sir Gus O’Donnell, as well as two Permanent Secretaries (Peter Housden at CLG and Robert Devereux at DfT), shared their experience and insights into the key issues facing senior and frontline managers who are either delivering joint services or have shared objectives with others in the public sector.
