The redundancy support model used by the Department for Transport for senior civil servants (SCS) could be used across government, the Cabinet Office announced today. The Department provided practical support for departing employees including career coaching, advice on establishing businesses and advice on volunteering.
The model is being piloted with SCS across government this year, and the Cabinet Office will also decide whether to expand this to all “surplus staff,” the announcement said. Further information will be available in the autumn, it added.
