Description:

Welcome

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) embarked on its Lean journey in 2007.  We have come a long way since then.

What is DWP Lean?

DWP Lean is about our managers leading by coaching and supporting their staff in using Lean.  It is where our staff are valued for their expertise in continuously improving the way we work and adding value to our customer in the service we deliver.

The DWP way is as much about how we think as it is how we do.

 Why Lean in DWP?

It was decided that Lean was the most sensible approach to achieve:

  • a higher level of customer service
  • improved people skills
  • the departments efficiency challenge
