Alan Sugar came to day 2 of Civil Service Live to talk about "Think Big about Policy, Think small first".

Conversation about The Apprentice was stictly off the menu, but people were keen to hear about Sir Alan's work with young people and entrepreneurship.

He anounced to the audience that over 20,000 young people have applied for his youth apprentice scheme, and stressed the need for to foster a new generation of enthusiastic and outgoing businesspeople.

Taiwan was used as an example of country with a strong work ethic, bringing it to the forefront of world computer manufacturing.

Antendees also spoke about intellectual property in the NHS, and the challenges of keeping innovation within the public sector.
