Civil Service Live Manchester - 07.12.09

I will remember the event as very positive and would love to go again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day I found it stimulating and motivating I thought it was very well organised, and the venue was certainly user-friendly both in its location and the facilities within the building, everything was to hand so as to speak.

A brilliant event - the best and most motivating event I have attended in over 30 years service, still buzzing.

An excellent, enjoyable and motivating event.

Civil Service Live London - 07-09.07.09

I clearly enjoyed, expanded my network and improved my knowledge base.

"Just some feedback to say what a great event this has been.  Prior to the event I was disappointed to hear that uptake was initially low but feel certain that the excellent response from all staff I have encountered who attended the event this year will lead attendance to snowball in the years to come as word-of-mouth promotion takes place.

The event had a great mix of exhibitions and speakers - the exhibitions, particularly the one detailing the history of the Civil Service were hugely interesting.

Thanks again for organising such a great event.
"
Gavin Davies, Learning & Development Manager, Ministry of Justice

Thanks for putting on such a great event.

Many thanks for running Civil Service Live. I attended the event over the three days as both an exhibitor and a delegate and I thought it was excellent.

"This was a really worthwhile event that helped to raise the FDA's profile. It's great that those outside of the south east of England have been given the opportunity to attend this type of event."
Sacha Dutta, Organiser, FDA

"I attended the opening day of the CS Live Event, manning the Government Office and Civil Service in the English Regions stand. The doors opened at 8:30 and I was delighted to be surrounded by inquisitive colleagues from across the Civil Service who wanted to know more about the CSER initiative and to find out a bit more about the Government Office Network. The many seminars were all full and there was an air of excitement and expectancy that delegates would have the opportunity to find out about other organisations and catch up with ex-colleagues."
Guy Bailey, GOL

We did enjoy Civil Service Live - it was a very busy but rewarding event for us.

Sir Gus O’Donnell, Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Home Civil Service

Civil Service Live Gateshead - 09.03.09

The Civil Service Live event was an extremely enjoyable event which afforded us the opportunity to network with a broad range of colleagues from across a spectrum of departments, whom we ordinarily would not have an opportunity to meet with together.  It was great to be able to speak on the day and share my experiences of best practise with fellow civil servants who were very interested in hearing what I had to say.  In a spirit of mutual learning and innovation we came together, and left feeling much more enriched and invigorated.  Events like this are extremely stimulating and are an important source of the energy which continues to drive us throughout the year.’’
Riyaz Timol, Benefits and Credits, HMRC

The intimidating size of the Sage Centre and the daunting prospect of having to speak in front of several hundred fellow civil servants is more than enough to fill anyone with dread but once inside, the event couldn’t have been more open and welcoming. In a packed programme of attention grabbing sessions, our group had two presentations to deliver which were interestingly entitled “Coaching for performance: Empowering the frontline”. With some live role-playing, slide presentations, a DVD and the involvement of a number of radio microphones there was plenty of scope for disaster but both sessions went by without any problem and were warmly received by our audience. Civil Service Live was a fantastic opportunity to network and to find out about experiences and processes in the wider Civil Service and I for one will jump at the chance to attend all future events.’’
Adam Smith, Benefits & Credits, HMRC

The event was a great success for us. We had over 70 people register as interested in a possible job with us when the Agency relocates to Newcastle later this year.
Jill Rawlins, Stakeholder Marketing and Communications, Marine & Fisheries Agency, Defra

I left the Sage feeling energized knowing more of what the future has in store.
I highly recommend the Civil Service Live experience; the buzz you feel being part of an event of this scale stays with you.  Next time… I’ll be there again.

Civil Service Live 2008

It was exciting to see people coming in from all around the country and getting a buzz and seeing that they could be proud to be a civil servant. They realised that being a civil servant is nothing to apologise for. The three days proved that the civil service is doing different and innovative things and is at the cutting edge of delivering services.
Peter Ricketts, Foreign & Commonwealth Office Permanent Secretary

It was a great event. It helped us explain our role as Civil Service Commissioners in a way which is rarely possible and gave colleagues from across the country a chance to debate the values of the civil service in action and to compare top tips for promotion.
Janet Paraskeva, First Civil Service Commissioner

I have been in the Civil Service for 36 years and have never felt so motivated and so sure that the future of the service will be better, more innovative, free thinking and ‘modern’.
